Basic admin tasks using Web Client – Add networking

Using vSphere Web Client is possible to manage, add, remove etc networking configuration on ESXi servers

  • Log in to vSphere vCenter Web client https://IP ADDRESS OF WEB Client:9443/vsphere-client/
  • from a Home screen click on Host and cluster –> ESXi server –> Manage tab –> Networking –> Add host networking icon

  • Select connection type
  • Choose existing vSwitch or new vSwitch
  • If you choose new vSwitch add physical network adapters to new vSwitch

Add physical adapter to vSwitch

  • Provide network label and enable services
  • Provide IP address and mask
  • DONE
