Before you start

Step # 6 Upgrading vSphere Web client in vSphere 5.1

  • Mount vSphere 5.1 installation package, mark on VMware vSphere WEB client and click on install button

  • Choose language version
  • Instillation wizard detects earlier version, click Next to continue
  • Agree on license agreement
  • Specify WEB client port settings, default ports for vSphere web client are http – 9090 https -9443
  • Provide credentials for Single Sign-On server
  • Click on Install button to Finish installation
  • Done, test WEB client functionality
Step # 5 Upgrading to ESXi VMware vSphere 5.1 from ESXi 4.1 and ESXi 5.0 using VMware vSphere Update Manager.
